Our Location

Nestled in the heart of La Punta Zicatela, the hottest spot in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Barbarenas is surrounded by the best places for surfing in the world. Our location’s tropical surfer chill vibes offer a magical feeling of time passing in slow-motion, bringing you into a state of constant relaxation. Besides surfing, there are also many beaches in the area where you can take a swim or watch professional surfers from all over the world. So come and experience the enchanting atmosphere of Puerto Escondido, where every moment feels like a leisurely escape from the rush of everyday life.

Accommodation

Following traditional and eco-construction principles our bungalows were constructed by local artisans using natural materials. Every bungalow displays a unique art collection by Cuban artist Yunior Marino and has a spacious terrace perfect for relaxing, working or just listening to the ocean. Barbarenas offers chill common areas, like the pool, our big open kitchen and yoga rooftop.

We have four cabins that can accommodate up to 22 guests. Cabin 1 features a king-size bed or two single beds, a bathroom and shower, and a private terrace with an outdoor nook bed. Cabin 2 has similar amenities, with a king-size bed or two single beds, a bathroom and shower, and a private terrace with an outdoor nook bed. Cabin 3 is double-story and offers a king-size bed and two single beds or four single beds, a bathroom and shower on each level, and a private terrace with an outdoor nook bed. Finally, Cabin 4 features a full-size bed (140cm), a bathroom and shower, and a private terrace with an outdoor nook bed.

Meals

Enjoy delicious vegan meals with our meal packages during your retreat. Our in-house chef Armando will cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner to fit your retreat schedule, and accommodate dietary restrictions for anyone in your group with allergies or gluten restrictions. Most of our ingredients are locally sourced within a 7-mile radius. and we do ensure that all meals are made with love. We also offer fresh water, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, juices, smoothies, and snacks throughout the day.
